TEL AVIV, Israel, September 24, 2019--The FIE is saddened to report that Mr. Shlomi Eyal, born June 20, 1959, has passed away. Mr. Eyal represented Israel in the 1984 Olympic Games, and then afterwards coached in the USA. In 1988, he returned to Israel, where he established a fencing club at kibbutz Yizrael. Over many years in fencing, he produced numerous successful athletes and served as national coach.
